Bubblegum Machine Treat Jar
Ceramic Pot
Ceramic Saucer
Fish Bowl
Wooden Cabinet handle (knob)
Paint
Epoxy Glue
Spray Gloss Finish Paint
Felt (optional)
The first thing needed is the proper size of the Ceramics and the fish bowl. It is best to buy these at the same time so you can see how they fit together. Take the fish bowl and place it on the upside down ceramic pot. You want the bottom of the pot the same size as the bottom of the fish bowl. Then place a ceramic saucer on top of the fish bowl. This should just fit over the top and be a little bit lose.
Paint the ceramic pot, saucer and wooden knob. This will usually take 2 - 3 coats of paint. Make sure to paint the bottom of the pot and both sides of the saucer.
Once completely dry and you like the finished coat of paint then take this to a ventilated area (outside) and spray a gloss finish sealing coat on the ceramics.
Once the gloss coat is dry, glue the wooden knob on the top of the lid. Also glue the bottom of the fish bowl to the bottom of the ceramic pot. You must use a really strong epoxy glue.
The last thing you may consider is taking a small strip of felt and lining the inside rim of the saucer (now lid). The reason for this is, firstly it gives a nicer fit on the top of the bowl and secondly both of these surfaces are breakable. This makes it a bit more durable.
Fill your Gumball machine with whatever treat you want, Candies, Gumballs or even cookies and enjoy…..
