decoupage vase

Supplies needed:
Decoupage Vases
Clear glass vase
Mod Podge
Tissue paper pieces

Instructions:
Cut your pieces of tissue and have them ready. Starting at the top paint the top inch or two of the vase in Mod Podge.
While this glue is still wet put a row of tissues along the top rim of the vase. Paint over the tissue with another bit of Mod Podge. This can be a straight line because you will add other tissues to this to break it up the pattern. But that very first row should be straight so there is no empty spaces.

Working down do a combination between painting the glass with Mod Podge and then placing random pieces of tissue in different angles. Be sure to put another coat of Mod Podge over the top of the tissue as you go. If you come across any parts that are to straight then just break up the pattern with another piece of tissue at another angle.
Continue until the vase becomes hard to handle with so much wet tissue. (You don’t want to touch the Mod Podge tissues) Let this sit and dry.

Once this is dry you then can do the exact same thing upside down.
Working now on the bottom do your layers of Mod Podge and tissue. Remember to once again cover each tissue with another layer of Mod Podge. Continue this until the bottom section meets the dry top section. Allow this to dry.

Once dry you then can look over your craft for any bare spots or areas you want to add more tissue. You may do this now. Again Mod Podge, tissue then Mod Podge again. Allow this to dry completely and enjoy.
